Renée was introduced to the world of weddings through her family's gourmet catering business. Assisting the design staff in creating spectacular weddings and formal affairs left a lasting impression on Renée. The importance of service, presentation and attention to detail would become cornerstones of Renée's career.

Her first retail fashion job afforded her a year's stay in Europe in which she was educated about the finest fabrics and laces in the world.

In 1984, Renée purchased an existing bridal shop in Beverly Hills. The shop was redecorated into a salon, the inventory updated and upgraded a staff personally recruited and trained by Renée. By year's end, sales had doubled.

As her clientele grew so did the offerings of the salon. Renée expanded the selection of bridesmaid and flower girl dresses, and developed headpiece, jewelry & accessory and shoe departments. She then created a custom couture department to service the most discriminating brides.

Film & Television Productions
Renée frequently offers her expertise and craftsmanship for film, television and commercial production. She is quoted regularly and is a regular guest on television and radio talk shows. She had a cameo appearance Disney's "Father of the Bride," having designed the gown featured in the film. View our client list.

Expansion
In 1993, with ever increasing sales, Renée moved her salon to it's current two-story location, effectively doubling the floor space. The new address places Renée Strauss for the Bride closer to the heart of Beverly Hills and boasts three wedding gown divisions, a separate floor for bridesmaids gowns, a shoe salon and an intimate area dedicated to headpieces.

While Renée Strauss for the Bride is capable of handling the most elaborate of ceremonies, the salon has retained the personal service that is the company's signature.

Renée's intense commitment to service, selection and expertise has garnered an international reputation for excellence and one of the most prestigious client lists in the industry. She works directly with the brides, makes regular buying trips to the fashion capitals of the world in order to stay current with trends and continues to be actively involved in the training of her staff and the operation of the salon.
